Match Reports
Managers are requested to submit Match Reports for inclusion onto the web site - just email to the Webmaster providing the date, opposition, final score & match report

The team is based at Upton Rugby Club. A squad of up to 16 players will be selected each week i.e. a full team plus substitutes for each game. Players should be in the dressing room at least 30 minutes before the start of the game to allow for final team selection and warm up routine prior to kick off. After the final whistle, players will be expected to spend 5 minutes on a warm down routine.

The Mercian Festival Junior League allows up to 22 boys to sign on. Match fees are usually £2 per week if you are selected to play. Non playing substitutes do not have to pay the match fee.

Playing league football requires a great deal of commitment once we are registered with the League. The Club has to pay heavy fines apply if we fail to meet the League's demands and fixtures. Travel on a Sunday can commence as early as 1pm visiting clubs in Evesham, South Birmingham or Worcester and it can be as late as 5pm before players arrive home. The team will need help with transport, refreshments, first aid, putting up nets for home games etc.

Players selected to sign on will be asked to fill in a League Registration Form and supply two passport size photographs and a copy of their birth certificate (or medical card).

Games will be played on a Sunday afternoon and the season runs from September until May. There will also be weekly training sessions on a Saturday morning between 1000hrs and 1130hrs. Some teams run additional gym based training seasons during the week. Ask you manager for details.
